InterLab Corp in Miami is proud to announce the most complete and sophisticated HPV test for our partners and clients.
Pap+HPV Together™
The inclusion of HPV testing with Pap testing, Pap+HPV Together, sometimes called “co-testing,” improves
cervical disease detection to nearly 100%.2 Women 30 to 65 should be routinely tested with Pap+HPV Together.
The Pap test and HPV test provide different information about cervical health:
– The HPV test warns if you are at risk for developing cervical cancer in the future.
– The Pap test alerts you to any abnormal cells on your cervix today.
HPV Types 16, 18 and 45
If your HPV test is positive, your healthcare provider may want to run an additional test to find out if you
have HPV type 16, 18 and/or 45. These are the most common types found in women with cervical cancer.9
These HPV types pose a higher risk for causing precancerous cells and cancer in a shorter time period than other HPV types.
Few women test positive for HPV types 16, 18 and 45. If you do test positive for one of these types, it doesn’t
mean that you have cancer — just that you are at risk for developing cancer in the future. Your healthcare provider may further examine your cervix and take a sample of any suspicious cells.
